What is an electric ear cleaner?
An electric ear cleaner (also called an ear irrigator) sends a gentle, controlled jet of lukewarm water to the entrance of the ear canal to loosen and rinse away earwax — without inserting anything rigid. Unlike a cotton bud, which can push earwax further in, irrigation rinses it out with water, with no rigid contact. The Ear Cleaner Pro offers 4 intensity modes, a 130 ml tank and IPX7 water resistance.

The jet is gentle, and lukewarm water is recommended to avoid any temperature shock. Soft mode is designed for sensitive ears and first uses.
Once or twice a week is enough for regular ear hygiene. Daily use is neither necessary nor recommended: earwax plays a natural protective role.
Rinse the nozzle under clean water after each use. The silicone tips come off and are dishwasher-safe. For a thorough clean, use warm soapy water and leave to air dry.
If you have an ear infection, a known perforated eardrum or recent ear surgery, ask your doctor before use. For children under 6, ask a paediatrician first.
Ear cleaners with a spiral tip scrape the ear canal to remove earwax, so there is still rigid contact. The Ear Cleaner Pro works by irrigation: only a jet of lukewarm water touches the ear.
